I'm suddenly thinking about literature. Wrote my sequel's ending yesterday, and it was hectic. Somehow, it made sense last night but not today. Maybe its due to the fact that it was written at around midnight yesterday and I was in a fluster. Anyway, I'm still wondering what humanities subject I should take. I like physical geography but not human geography. I have a little interest in History but that is because its still currently about the British rule. I'm not sure whether I'm keen to know about World War II and I. Then, there is literature which I doubt I have confidence in. I like literature, about those poems and text-types. Not really sure about drama but I think I'm bad in poems. At least, comprehending poems. Been emotionless for some time and I think it has affected my thoughts. I am uncertain what tone, mood and attitude the poet is having at the time of writing it. And all those similes and jargon used are rather confusing. Still, I shall try it out this year. If I am able to understand poems, then I might take full literature. As for both geography and history, its too early to say. Got bored this afternoon, and thought about writing a poem. Since I might be able to get 1 mark for CA, I started writing. Anyway, here it is. I don't think I will put a title to it since it might spoill the poem. Just take the first line as the poem. The nonsensical words will be translated.
Hear the call of the winstron flow,
Beckoning forth the japideo crowd.
Hidden beneath the eelowing cave,
A tranzen maiden lay.
She will wake! The mob chorused as one,
Moving to where she rests.
A stir escaped her lips,
As she waited till they came.
She will feel! The call reached her ears,
Echoing deeply till the end.
So risen she to proceed on,
To hide herself from Them.
She will know! The cry was louder,
And footsteps could be heard.
The anger portrayed in the voice
Did nothing to stop her tracks.
She will see! The thundering footsteps sounded,
Approaching in all directions.
Turning round to enter a section,
The maiden found herself trapped.
She woke from the deep slumber,
From peaceful times to war.
She felt the pain in her body,
As the people slowly fall.
She knew what they wanted,
Their greed written on their face.
She saw the destruction they caused,
And the pain and grief of all.
Listen to the cry of the desallen lady,
Begging the gretals to stop.
No more hidden within the crose,
The maiden cried for the loss.
Key:
Winstron: Invisible, green stream
Japideo: Normal, working everyday people
Eelowing: Eerie and glowing
Tranzen: Left alone, sleeping for a long time
Desallen: Deserted, fallen
Gretals: Soldiers in war
Crose: Abbreviation of crisis core
I got the inspiration from something I watched and the soundtrack which I had just downloaded. For some reason, the music is like sad mostly, even the piano collections. Its kind of fit for a rainy, gloomy day. On the other hand, the disc which I listened to for six months is more on the happy side. Its kind of balanced but I still prefer listening to my first disc. The second disc is like real long, taking about six to seven hours to finish. Enough about those soundtracks. I realised after finish writing that the semi- repetition is like Cara's and company's "the Man and the Maiden". Its just a coincidence please... Infer if you will about this poem. Its kind of like a story to a certain extent. You can comment on the tag-board. I like this poem. Alright, I will stop blogging now. Ciao people. Laters...
I'm falling deeper into depression... for... I can't remember the how many times. Theres a reason for this one however. Sometimes, I'll get depressed for no reason, the so called mood swings. Other times, well, there is a contributing factor that arises. Its normally my anger or sadness or some other emotions. I try hard not to let emotions influence but its... difficult. Ever tried not showing any emotion one day? You'll feel totally devoid of life, if you managed to be without any emotions. I tried it, and everyone around was asking me whether I'm alright. Strangely, if I'm supposed to be quiet, then when I'm quiet, why does everyone start being concern? Of course, the answer to that is kind of obvious... I just feel like typing that out. Anyway, got really pissed off today. Its not so much of anger I guess. Did not feel angry just uncontend. It might sound the same thing, but oh well, it's not like its the same thing for me. Since I can't change the way the person behaves, I'll just change my attitude towards the anonymous. I'm a living person anyway, so I have my own freedom to do whatever. Okay, enough about all this, I don't want to rake much of it up. Just let it settle in my heart. Been thinking what I really want to do after O levels. Sure, I'm still young but its good to plan ahead. I kind of don't wish to go JCs. If I can't make the cut for Hwa Chong and Raffles, then I'm going to go to Singapore Polytechnic. Not even going to try for National JC. There's a course I want in Singapore Poly but I'm not sure whether my parents allow. In the first place, they seem kind of opposed against the idea of me going Poly already. They just keep emphasising my future and job. They feel that its better for me to JC cause I have a higher chance of getting into University. And that's probably the wrong idea. The adults always think that Polytechnics students have a lower chance of going University because the Uni doesn't admit them. Truth is, Uni does accept, even though they accept a few people only. However, there has been an increase in the number of intakes. This goes to show that Poly students do have a place in Uni. Also, I don't think I want go to any of the three main Uni in Singapore. SMU, NTU and NUS just do not appeal to me. The courses they have doesn't suit what I have in mind. Still, I don't want to go overseas for further studies. Singapore is already considered a developed country so what's the use of going overseas when people are coming here? My views might be totally different from others... but this is my point. I kind of crafted my future out... but its like a bit... far fetched. Hope I can really follow this plan... Right, I need to go off soon. Ciao then people, laters...
